Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas all.
I hope everyone is enjoying their family and friends. We stayed (like usual) in our own home in Texas for the holidays. We enjoyed opening presents with little one and seeing his face light up with each present he opened. Next year we will have two little ones which is crazy to me (still). Hubby was so nice and we went to Ikea for the first time (for us) and I basically picked out what I wanted for my "get ready" / make up station. Basically I customized a vanity to what I wanted. So here are the things I got with links below. [along with other Christmas gifts he surprised me with].

Braun & Influenster.

Thursday, December 12, 2013

Influenster is an awesome company that sends out products for people to try and then share about. You take survey's for what you qualify for. (i.e. I am a mom so I could do the Mom survey/quiz). Then they try and match you to a box. Not everyone gets a box and not every box everyone qualifies for. I recently got a Braun Thermometer that is so awesome. We already actually have an ear one (that is also Brauns) but the one I got you just scan your child's forehead. It is so easy to use and a little fun because it's no hassle.

You can check this out at the Braun Website. It should or will have a $10 rebate too!

Baby is listening to your voice, thanks to tiny bones forming in their ears.
Baby's growing hair, lashes and eyebrows.
And baby is forming taste buds.

New addition.

Tuesday, October 8, 2013

Long time no talk. Again.

Toddler and I have been spending time in FL with family. Hubby is currently attending school in AL. We figured it was a one time chance to spend that much time with family and so Toddler knows his family. 6 days after dropping off hubby at school I found out that we are expecting a new addition to the family. Baby is due April 30, 2014. Which is crazy because Toddlers birthday is April 25th and I went early with him. So, kiddos might share the same birthday and be 3 years a part which is CRAZY because yours truly is actually 3 years and 30 minutes apart born on the same day as my sister. So, history might repeat it self. I've had my first appointment already at 10 weeks pregnant. It went amazing and I was all smiles and still am knowing everything is okay and just perfect right now.
Below is some pictures I took to announce our new addition.

I got to see hubby one weekend (drove 6+ hours that day and a massive headache from it) and decided this is our one chance to take a picture together. (courtesy of an iPhone app that has a self timer and the trunk of my SUV)

Made this little cute poster in photoshop and help with Pinterest tutorials and dafont.com fonts.

My little cutie.

Baby #2.

&& an update on how I feel and what is going with me and baby.

Something different.

This post is something different.
This post is about Influenster.
Influenster is is a free -to-join community of invited trendsetters who live to give opinions of products and experiences. Influenster creates links between brands and members to reward participation and influence future products.
[more here]

Basically what I did (I signed up a long while ago).
I answered the badges that applied to me. Such as, Fashionista, Beauty Queen, Mother Bear, Bow-Wow, and so on. They have multiple badges that you get to pick and basically answer about. Then when a VoxBox (more about that later) applies to you, they send you a FREE box full of goodies and you basically give your true feedback. You can also do the challenges, and do extra feedback by doing a blog post (like so), a Youtube video, Facebook post,  and etc.

So, this month I got the Sunkissed VoxBox.
(it isn't a monthly box subscription, Influenster will decide when you get a box.)

How my box was shipped.

The contents of my box.

Dr. Scholl's For Her
Retails for $10.99

I don't usually wear high heals but I will in October for a Formal Ball so these will most definitely come in handy!

Olay Fresh Effects (BB Cream) Skin Perfecting Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15
Retails for $12.99

I use Smashbox Camera Ready for my BB Cream but am open to try new ones. I was weary about the shade (Light to Medium) because I already have my summer tan going on now, but it seems to blend nicely. It has a very feminine scent.

SinfulShine with Gel Tech
Retails for $2.99

I have used Sinful Polish before but never their SinfulShine with Gel Tech. I am very excited to use this. I wish I didn't get red because that isn't necessarily a summer color to me BUT I am glad I got a color I could actually wear.  My polish came in the color Devious (a true red). I hope it is a great formula.

Last but not least.
Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics
Retails $3.00-$4.99

I have used this material before but I got a roll from Micheal's and made it myself so using one premade I was excited about. I love the colors they gave me, not to bland but not to wild, just the right colors for me.

The thing I am most excited for is the BB Cream and the Polish. I like all the products given to me and am impressed with Influesnter.

Just note:
I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Until next time. . .

Ever since.

Monday, June 3, 2013

Ever since that vent I had everything has been... better.
Is that weird? I put it out into the universe mama needs a break and I've pretty much gotten one. That night of the terrible day, I had a crazy idea to turn toddlers crib into a "toddler bed" and take the side off. He wasn't for it at first but we put one of the doggies in his room and that helped *note that we never let the dogs in his room due to allergies and just dog hair* He finally got to bed at 11 (he usually goes to bed around 8,9,10 depending on when he wakes up that morning). I went in there a couple times just to assure him he is okay. The weird thing is the next day he was the most amazing kid ever. He was AWESOME to say the least. It was errand day ( I like to get stuff done in one day) therefore, we went to target, walmart, and sams. Home to drop off cold/frozen goods. Commissary, he saw daddy during his lunch, came home had lunch and napped, all while being amazing and calm and with snacks. Then we went to HEB and he was just amazing. And still he naps and sleeps better at night I feel and the weird thing is the freedom he does have to get out of bed in the morning, he waits for mommy to get him still or to tell him to come out of his room. haha. He's also had less tantrums. I don't know why or how it could be because of the bed but he's been way more "easier" since I converted his crib to a bed.

That is it for now.

Until next time. . .

Changes.

Totally have not been on this blog as much as I wanted too.
Update:

Things in life have been going okay.
I mean I shouldn't complain and I know it is totally normal BUT!, as soon as baby toddler turned 2 it was like a switch came on in his head to be the most uncooperative kid around. I know other kids are "worse" but goodness give me  a break sometimes! Lately, he's had these Level 10 tantrums for no reason at all and some days its one after the other, continuing on till bed time. Talk about bed time, it is the worse time of the day almost. He cries and cries and doesn't want his diaper changed or pants or anything for that matter. Let's talk about today for instance. Our plans got canceled so I decided well I'll still take him out. I gave him  a snack and to the park we went, then I took him to the mall and got him one of his faves (a treat at that) Chick Fil A, then I gave him ANOTHER snack, (not like me or hubby to give him that many treats) but since he's been cooped up in the house due to nasty weather and canceled plans 2 days back to back, I figured it's a treat day, then I let him play in the play area for kids in the mall and right when I did he ... needed a diaper change so home we went and while we encountered some minor tantrums at the mall, what was waiting when we got home was .... let's just say not what I wanted in my future. He headbutted me when I was cleaning up a mess that he made and then hit me after that. My head is still numb and he is in his crib talking... not napping (I wish, but that is too much to ask for). Some days it's amazing, some are just okay, and some.... well if I drank alcohol then you'd might have to admit me to Rehab!!! I understand that he is a toddler, and some would say I have it easy, but if you've lived with a toddler and are a SAHP ...BLESS YOU! and treat your self because whatever choice you made to become a stay at home parent, you need to treat yourself! It's hard. It's trying. and it is definitely challenging! I am not saying I don't love him, because I do with all my heart but some days,
Mama needs a break!

Until next time. . .

Happy 2nd Birthday to my sweet pea!

Thursday, April 25, 2013

I am just amazed how you have grown, learned, and over come so many obstacles in life already. You make being a mother, parent, and a role model so much fun. Your laughter picks me up when I have a bad day, you keep me going when I have no energy left, and I am just so lucky to be your mother!
I love you baby boy! xoxo

Until next time. . .

Time slipped away.

I know. I know.
It has been far too long! What has happened lately?
We went to an Easter event which was Awesome!!! They dropped eggs from a helicopter, then on actual Easter we did a little egg hunt for my baby boy and he did pretty well. He got a Mr. Potato head and he loves that toy (still) which is pretty good for a kid and a toy.
Then I was so jealous because my sister and her kids drove all the way from NY to FL to visit family and then she "surprised me" (I say surprised in quotations because my mom pretty much gave it away, but she also surprised my mom). That was fun!
Then I went with two photographer friends, one of their kids, and my little guy and took some pictures near blue bonnets. (a Texas must).
We recently went to a base kids festival which was fun and baby won some prizes and hubby volunteered to watch the bounce house.
This past Sunday my little guy had his 2nd birthday party which I think went okay and was just enough time for the kids (which most of them were 2). He got lots of presents and cake and it was just a great time.
His Nana and Great Grandma got him a Trampoline (jealous. lb. weight goes up to 100).
His Grandpa got him some sweet clothes.
His Grammie got him, his FIRST pair of Rainbow sandals and a DJ Lance Rock Plush and more on the way she said.
Tomorrow is his birthday. We have a little (nothing special) smash cake from the commissary to smash into at 9:58 tomorrow (his special time he came into the world). Then we will wait till hubby/daddy comes home and he will get to see his 2 other presents we held a side for his birthday. (t-ball and some sesame street characters that were pretty hard to find) and then we will get ice cream and go to Walmart so he can pick out a toy!
This Friday I am pumped because for some reason Military.com decided to host Military Spouse BUZZ here.... which is weird because it is such a small town but they only choose 4 bases a year. So, for that I am thankful. It should be fun. Hubby took off the day to spend it with baby and so I could go.
That pretty much catches you up. Time for pictures.

Until next time. . .
