40 weeks. . .

Wednesday, April 30, 2014

Today I would have been 40 weeks pregnant.
BUT! My little sweet Mila Ellen made it be known that she was a special present for her big brother on his birthday.

Mila Ellen was born on April 25, 2014 at 8:43 p.m.
I will be telling her birth story in the next post.
She is the sweetest little girl in the whole wide world and has me wrapped around her little tiny fingers.
Let's see some pictures.

This is the last picture of Louis & I before he became a big brother. (right when I walked out the door I had to snap a photo of the two of us, because it will never be the same for good reason)

This is my sweet baby girl after she was born. What a wild story that is.

She is such a bright light in my life and I love her more and more each day.

Louis is very helpful and doesn't like when she cries. He says, "it's okay Mila, don't cry." Melts my heart each time!

Stay tuned for the birth story in my next post.

Until next time. . .

39 weeks. . . still pregnant.

Thursday, April 24, 2014

Seriously.
I am still pregnant.
I went in on 39 weeks and got checked and I am/was 4 cm and while she checked me I had a contraction (I did not know) and was at a 4.5. Baby girl came down more (good new news), I am really thinned out. But no baby yet. She really doesn't think I'll make it to my next appointment but who knows. I am due April 30 and my next appointment is scheduled for that day. Tomorrow is a busy day. We find out what our future is (aka where we PCS), most importantly my 2 year old son turns 3 tomorrow!!! Where has the time gone. Today I had a little play date/small birthday party planned. We painted, ate cup cakes, opened a few presents, and played with toys. It was perfect for me being 39 weeks pregnant and he had fun.
Tomorrow is going to be great. He will wake up and before daddy goes to work we plan to open presents, at 9:58 A.M. (when he was born) for the third year in a row he will get his own cake and have at it! It's a mommy and son thing we've been doing since he turned one and it is so special to me since it seems to be the last time it's just us. Then he will get a shower, we will meet his grammie at Target to pick out a present, and most likely wait till it's time to meet up with his daddy and see where we are moving too. Then I guess baby girl can make her appearance. If she is born tomorrow history will repeat it self because my sister and I are exactly 3 years apart and born on the same day. Anyways now to pictures and updates.

Easter:

Easter Bunny left some presents and Eggs at our door and by our front door since it was muddy out back.

Our little boy loved opening all the eggs and seeing what each one held.

My mom quickly whipped up this baby blanket waiting for our little girl to arrive still.

Sam's Club is the bomb.com. 10 cupcakes and a mini cake for only $12!!! Total score and everything my little guy could ask for. Plus, they have whipped topping and not heavy butter-cream.

This photo is the last photo of my 2 year old son. He turns three tomorrow! Three! Where has the time gone. He is so independent. He let's the dogs out, helps feed them, puts his clothes in the laundry, picks up his toys, says the most hilarious things EVER, has the sweetest heart and intentions. He is just the coolest kid ever. He surprises me everyday with things I didn't know he knew. I love you Louis. <3

Until next time. . .

38 weeks & 1 day.

Thursday, April 17, 2014

38 long, long weeks.
I had my appointment for the week and deja vu happened in a way. I got checked and I am currently a little over 3 cm and 70-80% thinned out. Baby girls head just needs to come down more. Walk, walk, walk the doctor said. She said she does not think I will make it to my next appointment. That is crazy in so many ways. 1. I had my first baby in South Dakota, with a whole different doctor. I was 38 weeks and my doctor said if you make it, (which I don't think you will) to your next appointment we will talk induction. [I wouldn't consider it unless medically necessary anyways]. (My current Texas doctor said the same thing today). Turns out that doctor was right, I never made it to my next appointment. (If you need a OB in Rapid City I would definitely recommend Dr. Bernhard at Black Hills OB-GYN). Also, my water broke on Easter Sunday and I had my son the next day. Guess what this weekend is? Easter, so I really believe my water will break on Easter again and I might just have baby on Monday. It is crazy to believe how alike these due dates are.

Breakdown:
  • Both doctors didn't/don't think I would make it to the next appointment.
  • Both pregnancies 38 weeks.
  • Both Easter weekends.

I can't wait to hold her and take her home to meet her big brother.
Back to your regular questions.

How far along?  38 weeks
Total weight gain/measurements: 25-30 lbs.
Maternity clothes: Yes & I can't wait to wear regular clothes.
Stretch marks: Not any new ones, I hope I don't get any either.
Sleep: Not consistent sleep. Leg cramps are here and waking me up multiple times a night.
Best moment this week: My mommy flew in and already has made so many delicious items! Helped a bunch with little guy and just made it that much easier to take it easy.
Miss anything? I would love to not be pregnant any more.
Movement: I think she wants out as well, waiting for my appointment she tried to bust out on top of a full bladder.
Food cravings: not too many since my mommy is fulfilling them all.
Anything making you queasy or sick? I have gotten a little bit nauseated lately.
Gender: GIRL
Labor signs: back pain, hip pain, and the regular stuff.
Symptoms: cervix irritated by check up, 3+cm dilated, 70-80% thinned out, everything looks great except baby needs to shimmy on down more.
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Both. easily annoyed.
Looking forward to: HER ARRIVAL!

In other news:

Little guy loves watching movies. He really likes Frozen (Olaf) right now. Always addicted to all of the Toy Story's as well.

My mom's homemade Tom Kah Gai. AH! Something I have craved for....ever. While it's settling nicely in my belly for the 3rd time in two days. Yum!

Next Friday will be my son's 3rd birthday and we also find out where we are going next thanks to the military!

Until next time. . . and hopefully baby girl will be here.

How far along?  37 weeks
Total weight gain/measurements: 25-30 lbs.
Maternity clothes: Yes and hubbys shirt at night. Although, my tummy is getting to big for these shirts.
Stretch marks: My ones from first pregnancy are more noticeable and I might be getting some more. nobueno.
Sleep: sucks. I am always tired.
Best moment this week: Ordering from Sephora (their biannual sale of 15% off) and later this Friday we find out what bases need my hubbys job!!!
Miss anything? My body back. So much pain in my lower back and hips.
Movement: yes. lots of visible movement.
Food cravings: sandwiches. chips and salsa. I also want to try that new salmon dish at Olive Garden.
Anything making you queasy or sick? nothing this week.
Gender: GIRL
Labor signs: back pain? hip pain?
Symptoms: I can feel her low, I never had back pain with my first pregnancy (it actually went away when I got pregnant with #1). This baby comes with so much back and hip pain!
Belly button in or out? In; flatish
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Moody.
Looking forward to: My mom arrives in 6 days!!! and the arrival of baby #2!

Lately, I can not sit down....comfortably. I am usually laying down if I plan on resting. It hurts to get up at night and my hips are in much pain. It's worse at night. I can't wait till she makes her appearance!

In other updates:

I love making sandwiches at home, because I have weird combinations.

This past week (hubby goes to work on night shift so it is just my son and I). Therefore, I decided to take my son on a date night (a little one on one before his sister shows up) at Texas Roadhouse, then we got ice cream to go from Baskin Robbins (of course it had to be Spider man) and then we came home, showered, and ate ice cream to Toy Story 2 (he loves trilogy).  It was nice to treat him and just get some individual time together outside the house.

The weather has been pretty nice lately, so hubby decided a car wash was in order.... car being my son's truck. I couldn't help to snap a few pictures of this cute little memory.

Just another photo of 36 weeks & 5 days.
Getting so big!

Until next time. . .

36 weeks & over it.

Thursday, April 3, 2014

changing it up and adding more questions.

How far along?  36 weeks
Total weight gain/measurements: 25-30 lbs.
Maternity clothes: Yup! Even though my belly is protruding those clothes as well.
Stretch marks: Not any new ones, I hope I don't get any either.
Sleep: Some, it takes a while to get comfortable and not have to run to the bathroom, but I do wake up to go to the bathroom, and I get very tired during the day.
Best moment this week: This week, I would say today, I went to the doctors, baby girl is measuring at 37 weeks and hasn't tried to come out any more (I was dilating starting about a month ago)
Miss anything? Bladder, breath, stomach, and just not pregnant people stuff.
Movement: lots of sharp jabs and rolling of body parts!
Food cravings: sandwiches, all the time!
Anything making you queasy or sick? I have gotten a little bit nauseated lately and ate spaghetti tonight and enjoyed a little heartburn which isn't normal for me.
Gender: GIRL
Labor signs: None like I use to, just tightening and pressure down there.
Symptoms: Every time I get checked ..... my plug comes a little loose (TMI?), my belly pretty much stays tight, and I've had a lot more pressure down there, which is great because she is moving into position but it hurts.
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Both.
Looking forward to: her arrival, my mom comes the middle of the month, and just being full term next week so I can be at peace and just wait for her.

Just wanted to add a cute picture I took of my son earlier in the week. He has definitely kept me busy and tired during this pregnancy but he's a great kid and I love him so much. He will be 3 at the end of the month (which I am totally not ready for), and he already acts like he's 13 sometimes. He goes through phases so much now, I think he knows baby is coming so he presses my buttons a lot more. He does seem excited for his little sister though. It might be another story when she actually comes but I think he'll be a great big brother!

Also, did you notice my giant blog face-lift? My friend did an amazing job!

Until next time. . .
